Day 17 & 18: Las Vegas, NV

Wednesday, September 27, 2000

We broke camp that morning, knowing we wouldn't have to put it up again any time soon, since we had two nights in a hotel ahead of us. It was time to get better aquainted with Las Vegas! Our first step was to check in to the hotel, the Stratosphere, best known for its tower of 1,149 feet.
On our list today were: the Star Trek Experience at the Hilton hotel, the Circus Circus Adventuredome, the Venetian hotel, the Battle at Treasure Island, Fremont Street and a look from above the Stratosphere tower.
We walked most of the day, from hotel to hotel, and drove 84 miles today.

Another day of exploring Las Vegas and its many attractions. Today we went to see the Titanic Exhibition at the Rio hotel, Caesar's Palace and it's Imax theatre, tha Aladdin, Paris Las Vegas, the Luxor, MGM Grand and the Excalibur. This kept us, like yesterday, busy until about midnight! Also for me something good: my knee didn't hurt anymore and it wasn't going to for the rest of our trip.
We had a great time and drove only about 24 miles today
