Day 28: Back home from Los Angeles
International Airport

Sunday, October 8, 2000

We got up at 7:30 AM and found out we all hadn't slept very well. We did all the usual stuff we did every morning and Marco and Igor went for a final game of ping-pong. We packed our things and called home. There was some good news for Igor and me, in the shape of a house! (see also the 'Saendelft page' of Sammie's page) This made going home more appealing for us. After we had packed everything or had disposed of it - like giving away our Campingaz tank to our neighbours - we left the campsite. We dropped off the car at Dollar without any problems and got on the bus to the airport at 1 PM. We were a little dissappointed to find there were hardly any shops at the airport, but we passed time anyway - reading and playing Yahtzee as we had done many times before.
After this I stopped taking notes.. all that's left to say is that we had a great time; making these pages brought it to life again. We all know for sure we will go back again, maybe to some of the same areas, maybe to other parts, but we will go back!
We drove about 26 miles today.
